[TIPS & TRICKS] Superstar SMTOWN: Power Up Your Card Using Lower Rank Cards
Hello! I'm sure some of you guys already knew the game Superstar SMTOWN. But if you didn't yet, it's a rhythm game developed by Dalcom Soft featuring SMTOWN artists' songs and they are all free to play! The way to play it is basically similar to Tap Tap Revenge but if you think it's gonna be the same, you surely need to try playing it to know the fun. :p I personally think this game is more fun (game-wise, but yeah Kpop also makes it better) so I suggest you to check it out if you haven't.
I'm pretty much addicted to this game. I've been playing this game for about two months now and currently trying to make my way to Silver I. I've passed everything in hard mode but I think my strategy game skill just sucks. TT I'm currently on second rank now, I hope it will stay the same until weekly ranking. (Or move to the first rank, that's even better)
Moving on! Having been playing for a while now, I've discovered this one trick that's been pretty helpful for me. I find upgrading my card with cards in the same rank a bit risky (unless it's a C rank card) so I tried powering it up with one-grade-below card and it can actually work WITH a little trick you need to do before trying to power up your card with the lower-ranked one and now I'm going to show you how.
Click on the card you would like to power-up. In here I want to power up my one-star B-rank Sehun card to two-star. |
Pick one card you don't mind 'eating'. I'm using my one-star C-rank Luna card. |
Pick other 5 cards you don't mind eating also to power up this C-rank Luna card. |
Keep trying until Luna card has 3-4 stars. |
Switch back to B-rank Sehun card. |
Power it up with three-star C-rank Luna card. |
Good luck! |
This also works to power up cards with more stars as long as the status shows that the chance for it to power up is "normal"(as shown below).
For example you want to try powering up your three-star B rank Krystal card with your five-star C rank Seulgi card. You'll be fine to try as long as it doesn't say "low".
Just try experimenting by yourself and don't forget to check the chance of succesful power up before you try. If you need help with this, feel free to ask me!
That's all for now. I hope you find this useful and see you later~
